How many people like to work-out or maybe not like it but want to but don't like to do it by themselves? Maybe they don't like working out due to no motivation, it isn't fun, or either they can't find anything that makes it where they want to keep doing it. If they have any of these problems then they're not alone because most people are this way. If they are like me then their biggest problem is they hate doing it by themselves. If so then they should try doing Zumba. Why Zumba you ask? They should try Zumba because it is a group activity and it's fun to do. Zumba was started in the early 1990s but didn't come to the United States until 1999 and it didn't become really popular until just recently. The big goal of Zumba was to make a work out that people would actually want to do and keep doing instead of dreading to do and possibly never do again.
Before I came to ULM, I had heard about Zumba but never tried it or really knew exactly what it was. My first semester here I didn't even know it was offered on campus and then this semester I moved onto campus and my friend was like let's try it because it's offered in the activity center. So I and my friend decided to give it a try so we both went and Emily was right. It was a lot better than just walking the track or working out on your own. The music was upbeat so it wasn't slow and it kept you interested in it plus the instructor motivates you throughout the whole thing. It was a great experience. Another great
thing about it was they were a lot of people there and some of them were just trying the class out as well so it wasn't like a bunch of people that had been doing it for a while....
